Room 24

Yr 5/6

Mrs Leisha Horwood

Welcome to our website!

We are a wonderful Year 5/6 class with 25 students.

In our classroom, we promote a positive learning environment, always striving to achieve our best. We are risk takers and enjoy rising to the challenges set by our teacher, Mrs Horwood. We show resilience and learn from our mistakes.

In Room 24 we work well both independently and collaboratively in a group. We understand the importance of listening to our peers and respect others' opinions and ideas.

Days to Remember:

Monday- homework sent home

Tuesday and Thursday - P.E

Friday   - assembly or singing

            - spelling test

            - homework books taken in

NB Reading logs are regularly

In Year 5/6, we take responsibility for our learning and write comments in our reading log books daily. We use the comments section in our reading logs to help us write about characters and plots. We also share our opinions about what we have read.

Spelling Alive

We record our spelling words every week in our homework books and practise 'sounding out' or 'conducting' each word. We learn these words at home throughout the week.
