PTP (Formerly PTA)

Oteha Valley School

Parent Teachers Partnership (PTP) (Formerly PTA)

Who are we?

We are an active support team of friendly parents and staff volunteers who give up a bit of our time to help make the school a better place for our children.

What we do?

Whilst fundraising is our core goal, connecting family, school and community is very important to us. We organise interactive social and fundraising events for the school community. Previous PTP events include school discos, quiz nights for parents, family fun nights, galas, walk-a-thon, movie nights and sausage sizzles which have all been thoroughly enjoyed by children, staff and parents. In the past few years, money raised has been used for our Year 3/4 playground, basketball hoops and netball uniforms among many other fantastic initiatives. The success of these events, however, is dependent on parental participation.

Refer to the pictorial overview of what we do at the bottom of the page.

Become a PTP Supporter

Supporters are people who want to be involved but are unable to attend meetings and are happy to be called on occasionally to lend a helping hand. We add your details to a ‘supporter database’ and let you know of upcoming events and find out if you are available to help out.

Please help us build a team of parents who can do small things to help our children. We promise not to ask too much of you and in return you have the opportunity to know more about your school and make some new friends.

Just a couple of hours a year can make all the difference and the more people who join, the more it’s shared. It’s also a great opportunity for grandparents to get involved too!

If you would like to join, or want to find out more, contact us at otehavalleyschoolpta@gmail.com or feel free to fill in your details and leave it at the office. We’d love to hear from you.
